The City of South Hutchinson is excited to announce the upcoming opening of our new Story Adventure Trail, created in partnership with United Way of Reno County. This interactive experience brings outdoor exploration and early literacy together in a fun, family‑friendly way.

For our opening event, we will be featuring “You Are a Honey Bee!” from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Kansas. As you walk the trail, you’ll discover the story one page at a time buzzing from station to station just like a honey bee exploring its world. Stretch your wings, follow the story, and see what’s waiting around the next bend as you enjoy this unique blend of reading and adventure.

Event Date & Time: November 7th, 11:00 AM–1:00 PM

This earlier time was chosen to make the event more accessible for families with younger children, mirroring the successful schedule used for United Way’s United . Read . Connect events.

The opening celebration may include local partners, vendor booths, treats, costumes, and more. More updates to come, including partner participation and activity highlights will be available soon.
